Located on Fish Street in the heart of Shrewsbury, Pengwern Books has been serving book lovers and beyond for nearly 19 years. With a small but carefully curated stock, readers will find something different from the mainstream on the shelves and what isn't on the shelf can be ordered quickly. But more importantly Pengwern offers a first class browsing experience. Browsing is something that on line retailers and the big chains just don’t do as well, if at all, and Pengwern Books is especially good at it!
I started Pengwern Books from scratch what seems like a lifetime ago, before the financial crash, and with a great team of people. In that time the shop has been based in a medieval church, through the coldest winter in recent years, and in the local Market until Pengwern and I moved back home to our original shop on Fish Street in 2014. My lovely, original team are still around and even though they have moved on, the band gets back together regularly. And Pengwern and I continue to do everything we can to help. Just let us know.
